Denise Borino-Quinn (Sopranos) dies at 46.

Denise Borino-Quinn played the wife of Johnny Sack Sacramoni in the hit series "The Sopranos". Denised passed away on Wednesday at Morristown Memorial Hospital (New Jersey), a funeral Mass was held this Saturday.

Russia Drops Microsoft As National Operating System

The Russian Government has announced that they are going to be dropping many current operating systems in an effort to craft a “national” operating system that will be based on the open source Linux OS. 
The russians are hoping to replace all of their government computers that run the Microsoft Windows operating system among others, to save money, improve security, and to keep hackers at away. Russia expects to reduce dependence on foreign software and create their own software.

New Batman movie: "The Dark Knight rises"

The title of the Batman sequel is "The Dark Knight rises".
This was unveiled by the LA Times in an interview with director Christopher Nolan.

Troy Smith will start for 49ers.


Alex Smith in injured and he will be out for two or three weeks with a separated shoulder.
Troy Smith will start for 49ers this Sunday.
Mike Singletary revealed Wednesday that David Carr took Smith's place against the Panthers Sunday, but he's been passed over in favor of Troy Smith, who gets the starting nod this Sunday.

Captain Kangaroo's James Wall dies at 92.

Mr. Baxter of the Captain Kangaroo series, passed away this Wednesday.
James Wall delighted kids in the series Captain Kangaroo, as Mr. Baxter, the friendly neighbor of Captain Kangaroo.

Avanir's involuntary emotion drug approved by the FDA.


Avanir Inc. will produce an invonuntary emotion drug that was just approved by the FDA.
This is the first product to treat the pseudobulbar affect, and it is predicted to reach annual sales up to $500 million. The companies shares rose 15 percent.
Nuedexta is the first drug approved for the treatment of the little known, but not that rare, condition called pseudobulbar affect (PBA), which is also known as involuntary emotional expression disorder.

Boulder fire at Isle of Capri


In Colorado a boulder fire caused almost 2,000 evacuations.
The boulder fire started in the morning in the Elephant Buttress area and quickly spread.
Evacuations began right away, some of which were people who were looking to venture off the the casino for Halloween festivities later Friday evening. 

Fighters escort suspicious aircraft.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 29, 2010 – The North American Aerospace Defense Command ordered four fighter jets today to escort a civilian aircraft with suspicious cargo.
NORAD diverted two Canadian CF-18s to track the aircraft as it flew into and over Canadian airspace, NORAD officials said in a statement. The civilian aircraft was passed to two U.S. F-15s as it transited into U.S. airspace and its ultimate destination at John F. Kennedy International Airport, they added.
NORAD dispatched the fighters “out of an abundance of caution,” the statement said."

  • 1 ounce vodka

Earthquake in Sumatra/Mentawai Islands.


A 7.7 quake was felt in Mentawai Islands this Monday Night, and the epicenter was reportedly 149 miles south of Pandang, a tsunami struck the islands after the earthquake.
At least 337 people are reported death and at least 334 are missing.
Numerous homes were distroyed or severly damaged.

Charlie Sheen's date suspected to be Capri Anderson.


In the beginning of this week Charlie Sheen was taken to hospital after the police being called to his hotel room in New York. Aparently Sheen was creating a ruckus in his room, due to intoxication.
His date? Porn Star Capri Anderson.

Terror packages from yemen. International Security Alert


Saudi Arabia warned U.S. about suspicious packages, several packages containig explosives (PETN) were sent from Yemen to United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates, the final adress was the U.S..
A manipulated cartidge was found in a plane bound to go to the U.S., and another was found in FedEx facility in Dubai also adressed to the U.S.. Two of the packages were adressed to two Chicago Sinagogs.
Al-qaida must be behind the plot.
Authorities are searching planes in the U.S. and abroad for more packages as of now.

China's supercomputer.


The fastest supercomputer in the world, 43 percent faster than the ex record older. 
This computer was created in the Nacional University  of Defense Technology.
Nvidia Corp. confirmed the record. Nvidia supplies most of the components of the supercomputers in existence.
Tianhe-1A was the name given to this computer.

World series begins...

The Giants vs Rangers world series opening game ended with a win for the Giants.
The score was 11-7 this wednesday night.
The second game is thursday night at AT&T Park, San Francisco.

Farooque Ahmed - Terrorism


A Virginia man born in Pakistan was arrested Wednesday.
He was accused of casing Washington area subway stations in what he thought was an al-Qaida plot to bomb and kill DC-area commuters.
The FBI said the bombing plot was a ruse conducted over the past six months, but 34-year-old Farooque Ahmed readily handed over video of northern Virginia subway stations, suggested using rolling suitcases rather than backpacks to kill as many people as possible and offered to donate money to al-Qaida's cause overseas.

Jack Conway’s financial supporters dropped drug trafficking case against Conway’s brother after Senatorial candidate had tipped him off.
Financial contributors to Jack Conway’s campaign and Conway himself tipped off Conway’s brother to the fact that he was being investigated for trafficking drugs in an admitted obstruction of justice.

LimeWire P2P was ordered to stop search, download, upload file trading, and distribution of files.
This judicial ruling is a  victory for Rhea, who was trying to get the court to stop the LimeWire for some time. 
Music industry has claimed that the use of Limewire, caused tens of millions of dollars of losses.
LimeWire will almost certainly be held liable for acts of piracy and are likely to assess the damage that exceed the legal capacity to pay.

Audrina Patridge Gets Eliminated From Dancing With the Stars.



Audrina Patridge was eliminated from DWTS The "Hills" star was one of the best throughout the season, but this Tuesday night all was over after judges told her she needed to get into character.
Now, after her "Dancing With The Stars" elimination Audrina Patridge will move forward with her career and star in a new reality TV show.

Randy and Evi Quaid were freed Wednesday from jail in Vancouver



They where freed after an Immigration and Refugee Board hearing.  
Randy Quaid and his wife were released after six days in detention. 
The Quaids were arrested last week in Vancouver for skipping an arraignment hearing in California over charges that they squatted in their former home.

President Obama on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart



President Obama became the first president of the United States to visit  "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart, appearing at the Harman Center for the Arts in Washington, D.C. tonight.

In their best start in five years, Kansas City Chiefs don't want to get too excited about their early season success. 
The Bufallo Bills havent won yet, and, a win will boost Kansas city confidence..
A lost would mean the worst start in 26 years.
Kansas City looks to open with four straight home wins for the first time since 2003 when it faces a Bills team trying to avoid its worst start in 26 years.

Justin Blackmon suspended.



At a press conference this evening, head coach Mike Gundy announced that Justin Blackmon has been suspended for Saturday's game against Kansas State.
Blackmon was pulled over early Tuesday morning after being clocked doing 92 mph in a 60 mph zone.  The junior was subsequently arrested on a DUI complaint following a series of field sobriety tests.
Blackmon leads the country in receiving yards per game (158.9) and receiving touchdowns (14), and is second in receptions per game at 8.7.
